Firstly, why will this receive an anime? Well this novel is incredibly popular in Narou no Shousetsuka, featuring in the top 20 most read novels of all time in the massive webnovels website. The light novel version is popular as well and the manga sales are decent and it overall has reached over 1.5 million copies in circulation. A drama CD will also be included with a special edition of the latest volume releasing in April. The importance of this is the prevalence of series that receive anime after drama CD adaptations. However, still what attracts the most attention for this series is the theme, the nonbiri/ carefree theme.

The main character was left quite sick after overworking himself in his previous job, and subsequently he dies. After his death he is reincarnated in another world. God gives him the chance to live another life in this other world and grants him the healthy body ability which the main character wished for so he could never feel sick again. The most important thing here is that the main character is isolated in forest and he faces very little difficulty in settling into his new life by creating a house, a farm and bathrooms and the likes. This easygoing nature in essence somewhat reminds me of By The Grace of Gods with how much ease the character has in settling into his new life. The contrast from a previous tough life with a renewed great life in a new world is a key theme that people seek in isekai novels and this one has it in spades even though it is a rather simple story. The anime industry is looking for series like these 'nonbiri' or easy going series. Many series with this theme receive anime but when it comes specifically isekai series like By the Grace of Gods, Isekai smart phone or the upcoming I killed smiles for three hundred thousands years all are nonbiri series that have received anime. Like these series this one is very likely in view to be animated in the future.

Synopsis -

Mukouda Tsuyoshi was nothing special in modern Japan, so when he was summoned to a world of swordplay and sorcery, he thought he was ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Too bad the kingdom that summoned him only got him by mistake! Not only was he not one of the three summoned heroes, but his stats were laughable compared to theirs. On top of that, there's something really sketchy about this kingdom... "Ah, these people are the kind to try and use the Hero," he realized, and immediately left to make his own way in this other world. The only thing Mukouda can rely on is his unique skill: the "Online Supermarket," a skill that allows him to buy modern goods in a fantasy world. It's useless for combat, but if he plays his cards right, he could lead a comfortable life, maybe? At least, that's what Mukouda thinks, but it turns out modern food bought with this skill has some absurd effects! What happens when Mukouda introduces ridiculously tasty modern cooking to a fantasy world like this? He gets some ridiculous repeat customers begging for more...! (Source J-Novel Club)

Campfire Cooking in Another World is an incredibly popular series, its webnovel is currently the second most read novel in Narou no Shousetsuka above the likes of Re:zero, Arifureta and others that already received anime. The only series above it is 'The Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime', which has not only received an anime which was incredibly popular but it has received a second season as well. This level of popularity in Narou no Shousetsuka is matched by the incredibly good sales of the light novel and its manga adaptation.  It currently has over 2.5 million copies in circulation including digital sales which is an impressive number for an Overlap series.

As I have said the publisher of this light novel is Overlap. Overlap is a new publisher that is under 10 years old that was formed by ex editors from Media Factory. The company grew a lot over the years by grabbing good authors to write series for them but alongside this they also snapped up promising works from Narou no Shousetsuka, Campfire cooking in another world being one of them. Overlap is also the publisher of Arifureta but not a lot of their stuff have received anime but they have experience in anime production. However, most importantly they probably have lined up a lot of announcements for their 10th anniversary. Campfire cooking in another world has also received a drama cd and a mini web game which alongside its popularity means its a golden egg for Overlap.

There is also another reason too which is that it is like Isekai Nonbiri Nouka a nonbiri series. Camping Fire Cooking in Another World fits perfectly well with that description since it has no real drama. In fact the main character for the most part is travelling with his familiars. Travelling means he is often camping, so this is not only a care free series but also a gourmet series in the fashion of Yuru Camp but in another world. This is also one of the reasons I see this inevitably getting an anime since it will try to capitalise of Yuru Camp popularity and that could very well work, this series is also incredibly comfy. it does seem to me that through its popularity and the push for easy going series, which this series is the epitome of, that it will inevitably be animated in the future, just wait for it and whilst at it read the light novel or manga.

Synopsis -

Yamai Zenjirou is your everyday office worker in modern Japan. One morning, he suddenly finds himself summoned to a tropical world where dinosaurs roam the land. He is told that this is the kingdom of Capua and the person who summoned him - its monarch, Queen Aura - wants him to marry her and leave his old life behind for a life of carefree extravagance as her prince consort. The reasons for her offer are many and varied, but she needs an heir, and she wants him to be the one to provide it! If he accepts, he’ll never have to work again, lazing around in luxury with no worries other than securing the kingdom its next monarch. Certainly, sleeping with the buxom beauty is far from a hardship, but is everything really as it seems? He’ll also need to give up everything he knows on Earth. Is he ready to drop it all at a moment’s notice for her sake? And how well will he be able to navigate the politics, people and culture of this new world if he does? (Source - J Novel Club)

The Ideal Sponger Life is also a nonbiri or care free novel. It does have a more clearly defined plot which involves a lot of kingdom politics in the background, but it is at first at least a story about the main character living a carefree life in another world like the title and synopsis suggests. However, the politics does splash onto the forefront as the main character gradually does become part of the politics of the kingdom because of who he is but also because he strives to help the queen in her battles against her political opponents. Hence, it becomes less about an easy going life but about the dynamic relationship between the main character and the main female character and the ensuing political battles that comes from ruling a large Kingdom. This is why for me at least, It has a lot more meat to it than Campire Cooking in Another World, pardon the pun.

It has an attraction for an anime adaptation since it is unlike many other isekai anime at the moment. First, it has a adult main character and female main character and their initial partnership, which each form for their own aims, becomes more sincere and transform over time into a romantic relationship. It involves politics and battles but at the same time it fits with the nonbiri feel is rather well done after all the main character chooses to leave his life in Japan of overworking for low pay in order to move to another world.

The Ideal Sponger Life is also very popular. It has over 2.5 million copies in circulation, which of course is an excellent number. Its manga sales are particularly incredible, in fact its one of the best selling isekai manga right up there with Campfire cooking in another world, the light novel is no slouch either and it also sells relatively well. So, I am sure there would be parties interested in animating it, so you might want to look out for an anime announcement soon enough for this one.

One day, a gamer played video games until he fell asleep…and when he woke up, he found himself in the game world–as a skeleton! Equipped with the powerful weapons and armour of his avatar but stuck with its frightening skeletal appearance, Arc has to find a place for himself in this new, fantastical land. All his hopes for a quiet life are dashed when he crosses paths with a beautiful elven warrior, setting him on a journey full of conflict and adventure. (source - Seven Seas)

Skeleton Knight in Another World is not a nonbiri series but an action series and its resemblance to overlord is bound to come up but its more of a thing just because of the fact the main character is also a skeleton. It does also have the same setting as the main character gets transported to another world into his game character. The gimmick of the skeleton has been unused since Overlord and Skeleton Knight in Another World is not about becoming an Overlord, it is instead a more usual isekai in that the overpowered main character saves innocent people that he stumbles onto and gradually many girls garner around him as a result of this. In this sense is feels like many recently animated isekai and this is one of the reasons alongside its Skeleton gimmick that I feel like it will be made into an anime.

Another reason is its popularity - plain and simple. This series is one of Overlap most popular series and both the light novel and manga are licensed by Seven Seas in english. Both versions sell incredibly well in Japan and whilst it is not on the level of Campfire Cooking in Another World as it has only 1.3 million copies in circulation including digital, it is still an incredibly popular work. Hence, it is simply too promising a title for Overlap to not push for an animation.

THE NEW GATE -

“THE NEW GATE”, an online game that trapped its players and turned into a death game, was now releasing the thousands of players that had been dragged into it, thanks to the efforts of Shin, one of the most powerful players. But after having defeated the last boss and freed everyone, he was swallowed up by a strange light and found himself inside the game world 500 years in the future and unable to leave.  (Source - Novel Updates)

This  one differs from most of the others in that it has been ongoing for much longer. It currently has 17 volumes whilst the manga adaptation has 9 volumes. It has an death game set up initially but it turns into an isekai as the main character finds himself transported into the world of the game after beating the last boss. It in this sense similar to Overlord and more vaguely to Sword Art Online in regards to setting. It does differ from them two significantly in terms of what the story actually is though. However, its resemblances to popular series and the fact it is a genre of isekai that has flown under the radar is one of the reasons that I think this will receive an anime alongside others that I will highlight.

Another factor that makes me confidence this will be animated is its publisher Alpha Polis. Alpha Polis is not a big light novel publisher in fact it is one of the smaller ones but it has successfully drifted the Narou no Shousetsuka wave. From this wave, it not only got itself popular titles but it launched a manga reader in its website where it serialises the manga adaptions of its titles. THE NEW GATE is one of the most popular titles of Alpha Polis both in regards to its novel and its manga alongside titles such as Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy. Tsukimichi has 1.4 million copies in circulation including digital, whilst THE NEW GATE has 1.37 million. You might see what I am getting at now, basically TNG is also a great selling title for Alpha Polis and like Tsukimichi, I believe will get an anime in the near future because they will push for one even if comes much later then stuff from bigger publishers like Kadokawa and the likes.

In the East is a land ruled by an emperor, whose consorts and serving women live in a sprawling complex known as the hougong, the rear palace. Maomao, an unassuming girl raised in an unassuming town by her apothecary father, never imagined the rear palace would have anything to do with her—until she was kidnapped and sold into service there. Though she looks ordinary, Maomao has a quick wit, a sharp mind, and an extensive knowledge of medicine. That’s her secret, until she encounters a resident of the palace at least as perceptive as she is: the head eunuch, Jinshi. He sees through Maomao’s façade and makes her a lady-in-waiting to none other than the Emperor’s favorite consort… so she can taste the lady’s food for poison! At her lady’s side, Maomao starts to learn about everything that goes on in the rear palace—not all of it seemly. Can she ever lead a quiet life, or will her powers of deduction and insatiable curiosity bring her ever more adventures, and ever more dangers?

An extra, I am including here that is not an isekai actually. This is a more historical series with a more low fantasy series. It is a more about politics in a sense it is similar to Sponger Life but this is instead focused on the female character and the balance between the female main character and the main character is different. Its a more unequal balance since she is at the beget of the emperor and other powerful characters even though she wanted to avoid living in such a way instead she wants a peaceful life. Though she has not given up on achieving this but it is a tough task to achieve as she has caught the eyes of important people.

I wanted to include this since this a series centered at more female readers instead. It is incredibly popular with over 12 million copies in circulation which includes the novels as well as its two manga adaptation. Its a massively popular series and it has placed in rankings of works that people want to see animated. Alongside this works aimed at female whilst not as many when they are popular they usually are animated precisely because there is less works. It will be nice to see this series animated in the future.
